About the Author
Kyle Mewburn (Author) Kyle Mewburn is one of New Zealand's best known and most productive writers for children. She has published more than 40 children's books in various genres in nine countries around the world and has won numerous awards, including the Book of the Year Award for Old Hu-Hu and the Best Picture Book and Children's Choice awards for Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!. She is the author of the Dinosaur Rescue and Dragon Knight series, hugely popular collaborations with illustrator Donovan Bixley. She was Children's Writer in Residence at Otago University in 2011 and President of the New Zealand Society of Authors from 2013-2017. Kyle grew up in Brisbane before travelling the world and eventually settled in Millers Flat, Central Otago with her wife Marion, two cats and 24 chickens. They live - Kyle and Marion, not the chickens - in a house with a grass roof, which they built by hand. Kyle spends her time writing, gardening and hunting for eggs. Laura Bee (Illustrator) Laura Bee is a freelance illustrator who works from her cosy and funky little studio in Wellington, New Zealand. She specialises in publishing, character design, editorial, illustrative design elements/bespoke illustrations and thanks to this digital world we live in has worked with a wide range of international and local clients. She absolutely loves connecting with other amazing companies and creatives to bring ideas to life. A homebody by nature, if she's not drawing, designing or painting, she'll be found reading art books and graphic novels, watching documentaries or spending time with her cat.
