What does the Bible really say about childbearing? What are we to think when the blessing feels more like a curse? Is there any hope in Christ for those who struggle with the many sorrows pregnancy and childbirth can bring? Through one woman's deeply personal story, this book explores the themes of childbearing in the Bible, discovering a powerful message of both anguish and glory in which we see childbearing redeemed.

About the Author

About the Author (In the words of her children): This is the truth, the only truth, about what Anna is like. Anna Vroon lives in Gisborne, New Zealand, with her husband Bruwer and four kids. Three of them are boisterous boys but one of them is a beautiful young lady who isn't bossy, just gives advice. Anna deals with the noise better than most. I don't know how, that is one of the few things that remain a mystery. Bruwer and Anna have fostered several extra babies and young children over the past five years. Anna enjoys writing, gardening, ballet and caring for babies (particularly the ones she doesn't have to birth herself). She is keen on walking anywhere and everywhere. Sometimes she gets a bit angry. Sometimes she's really nice. She is a lover of Christ our God and is an important member of Gisborne Grace Presbyterian Church where Bruwer is minister. Sometimes she looks nice. She eats a lot. Sometimes she watches TV without us. So there you have it. Anna Vroon: fun, (almost) faultless and completely surprising.
