From Northern Ireland originally, Alayne has lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for almost 20 years. She is a speech-language therapist committed to enabling children to enact their rights. Alayne has always been drawn to stories that explore the bond between people and animals, and vividly remembers reading wonderful books such as Little Red Fox, The Call of the Wild, The Incredible Journey and The Snow Goose. Alayne never imagined that she and Tia would have a similar adventure. Best Friends Never Give Up is her first book.
