A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER is a book by two Dunedin cartoonists, Bruce Mahalski and Abe Hunter, who produce these weekly cartoon strips for the Otago Daily Times newspaper.

BRUCE MAHALSKI is a Dunedin based artist, museum curator and environmental activist. He has worked as a professional illustrator/cartoonist/ writer and art teacher, as well as having an academic background in marine science.

As a parent, he understands how many young people feel powerless in the wake of climate change but with information and action there is power. He apologises that some of these cartoons aren't very funny but facts with pictures are better than just facts with words.

He hopes this little book will start more than a few conversations and that some of those conversations will lead to both positive and uplifting environmental action!

ABE HUNTER is an illustrator and cartoonist based in Otepoti (Dunedin). For the past four years, he has been publishing independent comics and believes wholeheartedly in the power of DIY creative communities. Abe thinks we all need to use whatever powers we have to try to avoid runaway climate change and he hopes this collection of comics will help educate and empower people to agitate for a greener future.
