You Left Your Heart delivers a small but potent dose of poems, featuring Aitchison's alter egos, Miss Dust and Anna, who risk their teeth, heart, eyes, and-at times-their minds as they write their way around Iowa and Aotearoa, stopping on the way to adopt a buffalo, converse with the dead poet John Berryman, and infect a work colleague with the ultimate disease: poetry.
