About the Author
Terry Thomsen is based in Christchurch and has a Master of Science in Botany from the University of Canterbury. His thesis studied the biogeography of southern beech species in the South Island using DNA markers and he also published postgraduate papers in evolutionary biology, plant taxonomy, ecology and entomology. He is a contributor to Wilderness magazine.
