Would you risk everything to save a dolphin? When champion windsurfer Becky Samuels returns to New Zealand during the pandemic, everything’s changed. Dad’s moved house, and Becky has a new stepmum, and an annoying baby brother. Even worse, Becky’s windsurfing board hasn’t arrived. After Becky finds an obsidian stone, everything changes. She makes friends at school, joins an environmental group, borrows a board, and has several close encounters with an inquisitive dolphin. It’s friendly, but Becky can’t shake the feeling it’s trying to tell her something. As poachers steal fish from the local marine reserve, rubbish washes up on the beach, and brooding storm clouds gather. If Becky is the dolphin’s only hope, will she be able to save it?
