Marco Sonzogni (translation studies), Sydney J Shep (book history) and Daniel K Brown (design studio) lead an international and interdisciplinary project in evolutionary translation at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Their research features work by giants of world literature such as James Joyce, W H Auden, Truman Capote and Seamus Heaney as well as Italo Calvino. Alongside William du Toit (literature and design) and Yuanyuan Liang (literature and trauma), who have contributed to this book, the Evolutionary Translation Research Group includes Alfio Leotta and Tyler Tesolin (literature and film), Sarah Laing and Julian Peters (literature and illustration), Erin Dailey (literature and multimodality) and Paddy Twigg (literature and translation).
