Pipi and Pou are two cousins who transform into superheroes to solve a problem, under the watchful eye of their very wise Nana. Pipi shapeshifts into a Pouakai, a giant eagle, while Pou can become a Taniwha.
About the Author
Tim Waitai-Tipene, (Ngāti Kuri/Ngāti Whatua) – was adopted into the Waitai-Tipene whanau as a toddler. He was raised in two cultures, NZ Māori and NZ European. Tim is the author of more than thirteen books, five of which have won awards, and writes for younger readers of all ages. Isobel Te Aho-White, (Ngāti Kahungunu/Ngāi Tahu) – a very popular illustrator based in Wellington. “My personal artwork is definitely about connecting people with each other and with nature … uplifting people, especially young women,” Izzy remarks.
