The Wrong Way Down: London to Sydney by Jet Ski
Find your copy...
In August 2010, Qantas 747 Captain, Jeremy Burfoot and his team headed off from London in an attempt to ride a seadoo jet ski all the way to Sydney, Australia. This is the story of the preparation leading up to the attempt and the adventure itself. It was a 'never a dull moment' adventure where anything that could go wrong, generally did. Anyone interested in the river route from the North Sea to the Black Sea via the Rhine river, the Rhine Main Danube Canal and the Danube river should read this book. Anyone interested in long distance jetski or personal watercraft adventures should, likewise, find this book a great source of information. The book includes good descriptions of travel by water through countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and the Ukraine. The adventure also included travel on the Black Sea, through the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea.
