Ka whakanui a Kete i te reo Māori — Kete celebrates te reo Māori
Kia kaha te reo Māori. This week, throughout Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (11—17 September), the Kete Books homepage is again published in te reo Māori.
We are also very excited to welcome back Ruth Smith (Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki, Ngāti Porou, Rongowhakaata, Ngāti Kahungunu) as guest editor. Keep an eye on Kete for her compelling review selection and editorial.
All week, Kete will feature reviews of new and exciting books by Māori authors, reviewed in te reo Māori with links to English language versions or translations.

Kete newsletter: Te Wiki o te Reo Māori special edition
A special Māori language edition of our newsletter, gathering together the week’s reviews and editorial, will go out to subscribers on Thursday 14 September before midday. If you don’t yet have plans for Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori — the Māori Language Moment set for midday on 14 September — reading about incredible new books, by some excellent reviewers and young readers in te reo Māori could be a great way to mark the moment.
Our Te Wiki o te Reo Māori edition Kete newsletter will also feature a special book pack giveaway, with many of the books reviewed across the week included in this prize draw.
